Dehradun, 25 February 2025 : The Uttarakhand government has made marriage registration on the UCC (Unified Citizen Charter) portal mandatory for all married government employees whose marriage took place on or after 26 March 2010. Chief Secretary Radha Raturi has issued directions to all department heads to appoint nodal officers in each district to ensure timely registration and submit reports to the Home Secretary.
This move is aimed at streamlining marital records of government employees and enhancing administrative transparency. Additional Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan also issued supplementary instructions on Monday to reinforce the implementation.
To ensure smooth registration, the Chief Secretary has directed the Director of ITDA to provide technical assistance to all departments and districts. Departments facing any technical challenges can immediately approach the ITDA for support.
