Dehradun: Uttarakhand Public Service Commission (UKPSC) has invited online applications for the recruitment of 692 Principals in government schools and inter colleges across the state. Eligible candidates can apply through the official website ukpscnet.in.
The application process will remain open from 22 September 2025 to 12 October 2025. Candidates will be allowed to make corrections in their online applications between 18 October and 27 October 2025.
Eligibility criteria
• Principal/Headmistress: Those permanently appointed as Principals or Headmistresses in government schools or inter colleges of Uttarakhand, who have completed continuous service by the first day of the recruitment year, are eligible. Male candidates must have at least 22 years of satisfactory service, while female candidates require a minimum of 2 years, along with mandatory educational and training qualifications under Rule 8.
• Lecturer: Lecturers serving in government inter colleges (boys and girls) with a minimum of 10 years of continuous satisfactory service by the recruitment year are eligible. Lecturers with combined service of 15 years including Assistant Teacher (L.T.) posts may also apply, provided they meet Rule 8 educational/training qualifications.
• Assistant Teacher (L.T.): Those serving in government higher secondary schools and inter colleges with at least 15 years of continuous satisfactory service, and required educational/training qualifications, are eligible. Service certificates must be issued by the appointing authority.
Age limit
The maximum age limit for candidates is 55 years as of 1 July 2025. This means the candidate’s date of birth should not be earlier than 2 July 1970. Reserved category candidates will receive relaxation as per rules.
Pay scale
Selected candidates will receive salary under Pay Level-12, ranging from ₹78,800 to ₹2,09,200, along with grade pay and admissible allowances as per government rules. Initial salary will be determined based on experience and qualifications.
