Youth Protest Over UKSSSC Paper Leak Continues for Sixth Day

The sit-in protest by youths against the alleged UKSSSC paper leak entered its sixth day on Saturday at Parade Ground, Dehradun. The demonstration, ongoing day and night, saw fluctuating participation, with protesters using handwritten placards to highlight their demands. Police and district administration maintained constant surveillance at the site.

The protesting youths have been demanding the cancellation of the UKSSSC exam since last Sunday. They also insist that the probe should be handed over to the CBI instead of the SIT, claiming that only a CBI inquiry can uncover the full extent of the alleged malpractice.

On Friday, District Magistrate Savin Bansal and SSP Ajay Singh reached the protest site to present the government’s stance. The dialogue lasted nearly an hour, but the youths refused to withdraw their demands. While the officials explained the progress of the ongoing investigation and assured the protesters that their concerns would be heard, the youths reiterated their call for exam cancellation.

Many students join the protest after attending coaching classes during the day and return home at night, while some remain at the site continuously. Peacefully staging their agitation, they continue to display placards to passersby, drawing public attention to their cause.
