As per the new rules, recruitment for Sub-Inspector positions in Police, Intelligence, PAC Platoon Commander, IRB, Fire Service Second Officer, Deputy Jailor, Home Guards Platoon Commander, Forest Inspector, Excise Sub-Inspector, and Regional Youth Welfare & PRD Officer will now be conducted through a single examination.

Similarly, recruitment for Constable posts in Police, PAC, IRB, Fire Services, Jail Warder, Forest Guard, Excise Constable, Enforcement Constable, and Security Guards in Secretariat and Assembly will also be held under one unified exam, replacing separate tests conducted earlier.

The age limit for Sub-Inspector recruitment has been revised from 18–28 years to 21–35 years, while for Constable posts it has been increased from 18–22 years to 18–25 years.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the unified recruitment system will ensure transparency and fairness, giving youth better opportunities while strengthening the state’s security and service framework.
