Dehradun – In a major relief for electricity consumers, all UPCL billing counters across Uttarakhand will now remain open on Sundays. The UPCL management has issued orders to implement this decision, aiming to accelerate revenue collection. Officials’ weekly holidays have been canceled to ensure consumers can pay their bills on all seven days of the week.
UPCL Managing Director Anil Kumar stated that a large-scale campaign is underway this month to enhance revenue collection. Senior officials are closely monitoring the situation and providing regular updates.
Additionally, a special drive is being conducted to recover outstanding electricity bills from government departments. Nodal officers have been appointed to oversee the collection process from various departments. UPCL has urged consumers to clear their pending bills at the earliest.
The power corporation has warned that strict action, including disconnection, will be taken against those failing to pay their bills on time.
