Uttarakhand Power Corporation Limited (UPCL) has activated toll-free helpline number 1912 for reporting power outages in disaster-affected areas across the state, including Dehradun. The management has urged consumers to immediately inform the control room in case of electricity disruption so that supply can be restored at the earliest. Field staff have been placed on high alert to ensure quick response.
UPCL Managing Director Anil Kumar said that maintaining power supply during disaster-like situations is a challenging task, but the corporation is fully committed to providing uninterrupted electricity to consumers. Disaster response teams have been deployed in every district to deal with emergencies.
He further directed all executive, assistant, and junior engineers to remain active in their respective areas, conduct inspections, and immediately report any incidents such as broken poles, snapped wires, or supply disruptions to the headquarters and concerned control rooms. Line staff and field engineers have also been instructed to use safety gear without fail and exercise extreme caution during heavy rains, storms, and landslides.
