The Uttarakhand Power Corporation Limited (UPCL) is organizing three-day multipurpose electricity service camps across the state to provide solutions to electricity-related concerns of consumers. This initiative is inspired by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami’s motto of simplification, resolution, and satisfaction under the “Vikalp Rahit Sankalp” (Resolution without Alternatives) approach. At a recent event celebrating three years of service, good governance, and development at Parade Ground, Dehradun, UPCL set up a stall named “Apna Solar Ghar” to raise public awareness about solar energy solutions and other electricity-related services.

According to Anil Kumar, Managing Director of UPCL, the camps will be organized at the sub-division level to ensure accessible solutions for consumers. The services offered will include:

  • New electricity connections
  • Metering and billing issue resolution
  • Applications for increased electricity load
  • Replacement of faulty meters
  • Providing information on smart meters and solar schemes

Consumers are encouraged to participate in these camps to get their concerns addressed promptly. UPCL has instructed its officials to promote the camps through local newspapers and ensure participation of public representatives for greater outreach.

The camps have already commenced in districts like Champawat, Dehradun, Pithoragarh, and Nainital, with active participation from engineers and senior UPCL officials. The government remains committed to providing 24×7 electricity availability and enhanced customer services.
