Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reached Bhararisain today to attend the upcoming monsoon session of the Uttarakhand Assembly, scheduled to begin tomorrow and continue until August 22. On arrival, he was received by District Magistrate Sandeep Tiwari and Superintendent of Police Sarvesh Panwar at the helipad, where he was also given a guard of honour by the police.
The Assembly Secretariat has finalized all preparations for conducting the session in the state’s summer capital. Teams of officers and employees from the state secretariat have already started moving towards Gairsain, with the first group having left earlier and another departing on Sunday.
Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has forecast rain in the region until August 22, raising concerns over difficulties in travel, especially for officials and delegations making the long road journey to Gairsain.
