Uttarakhand Budget Session in Gairsain from March 9

Uttarakhand – The Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly will hold its Budget Session in Gairsain from March 9 to March 13. The session will begin with the Governor’s address on March 9, setting the legislative agenda for the financial year ahead.

The state government will present the Budget for the financial year 2026–27 on March 11. The budget is expected to outline allocations for key sectors including infrastructure, education, health, rural development and tourism. Detailed discussions and debates are likely to follow during the session.

Gairsain, the summer capital of Uttarakhand, has periodically hosted Assembly sessions, reflecting the government’s commitment to decentralised governance. Holding the budget session in the hill region also brings administrative focus to mountain districts, though logistical arrangements remain a recurring challenge.
