The Uttarakhand Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, concluded its meeting today with the approval of 26 major proposals. Key decisions include restructuring the Uttarakhand Project Development and Construction Corporation (UPDCC) and creating two additional program units for the execution of works under the UIIDB and Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Reservoir.
Other approvals cover providing compensation to Lakhwar hydropower project-affected families at Nainbag circle rates, amending the allotment and transfer process of government industrial plots and sheds, and implementing the 2025 Horizontal Reservation Rules for retired Agniveers in direct recruitment to Group C uniformed posts.
The cabinet also approved amendments in the Uttarakhand Higher Judicial Service Rules 2025, the STI Policy 2025, changes to the Uttarakhand Finance Service Rules, and updates to the Panchayati Raj Amendment Bill 2025. Several financial and annual reports from power and regulatory bodies were cleared for presentation in the Assembly.
Additionally, the cabinet decided to form a dedicated single-member commission, headed by retired High Court judge B.S. Verma, for conducting OBC surveys ahead of municipal elections. It also created an additional vice-chairperson post in the Badrinath and Kedarnath temple committees.
