Uttarakhand Cabinet Meeting: Key Proposals Approved

The Uttarakhand Cabinet, led by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, held a crucial meeting in Dehradun on Wednesday, approving several important proposals aimed at governance and development in the state. Among the notable decisions was authorization for the upcoming monsoon session of the Legislative Assembly, along with reforms in the education and rural sanitation sectors.

  1. Monsoon Session Approved: The cabinet gave its nod to convene the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly’s monsoon session. The Chief Minister was authorized to finalize the date and location.
  2. Special Educator Rules Cleared: The cabinet approved the Uttarakhand Special Educator Service Rules 2025, paving the way for the creation of 135 new posts for special educators.
  3. Report on Panchayati Raj Presented: The single-member ministerial committee submitted its report related to Panchayati Raj to the cabinet.
  4. Swachh Bharat Phase 3 Implementation: The Panchayati Raj Department was officially entrusted with executing the third phase of the Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin), which is set to begin soon.
