Amid ongoing heavy rainfall across Uttarakhand, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami held a virtual meeting with all district magistrates on Monday. He instructed officials to remain actively deployed on the ground with their teams and respond swiftly to rain-related challenges.
The CM emphasized immediate restoration of disrupted roads, drinking water supplies, and power lines. In rural areas, he directed that alternative routes be arranged if connecting roads are blocked. He also instructed officials to assess crop damage promptly and ensure advance preparedness for waterlogging situations.
Strict legal action has been ordered in cases involving fake ration cards, Aadhaar cards, and Ayushman Bharat cards. The Chief Minister further directed regular inspections of hospitals, monitoring of construction quality, and reviews of government schemes.
Dhami also called for promoting local products under the ‘Vocal for Local’ and ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ initiatives by encouraging their use in government offices.
