Uttarakhand Congress Expels Rebel Leaders for Six Years Over Party Disobedience

In a decisive move, the Uttarakhand Pradesh Congress has expelled several rebel leaders for six years for contesting against party candidates in municipal elections. This action, aimed at maintaining discipline, targets individuals from municipal corporations, municipalities, and nagar panchayats who engaged in anti-party activities.

The decision, under the directive of State Congress President Karan Mahara, has resulted in the expulsion of prominent leaders such as former Roorkee Mayor Yashpal Rana, Santosh Rawat from Rudraprayag, Kubja Dharmwan from Ukhimath, Kavi Joshi from Bageshwar, and Mahendra Pal Singh Rawat from Kotdwar. Rebels from Rishikesh, Chamoli, Tehri, and other regions have also been included in the list.

Additionally, action has been recommended against Mayukh Mahar, MLA from Pithoragarh, and Youth Congress National Secretary Rishendra Mahar for alleged anti-party conduct. Karan Mahara emphasized that Congress is a disciplined organization and will not tolerate indiscipline under any circumstances.
