Uttarakhand Reports Four New Covid- 19 Cases, Total 74 Now

Four new Covid-19 cases have been reported in Uttarakhand, taking the total number of infections in the state to 74. According to the health department, two of the new cases are from Dehradun and two from Uttarkashi.

At present, the state has six active Covid-19 cases. Of these, four patients are under home quarantine, while two are hospitalized — one at Kailash Hospital and the other at AIIMS Rishikesh. Health Secretary Dr. R. Rajesh Kumar stated that the situation is under control and all necessary precautions are being taken. Authorities have been instructed to remain alert.

In addition to Covid-19 cases, the state also reported three new cases of dengue. The patients have been admitted to Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital and Graphic Era Hospital. With this, the total number of dengue cases in the district has reached 141.

Larvae of the dengue virus were found in 74 houses and were subsequently destroyed. Chief Medical Officer Dr. Manoj Kumar Sharma informed that all health units in the district are actively involved in dengue control efforts. Increased larvicide spraying and fogging have been ordered in vulnerable areas.
