Uttarakhand Creates History with 5 Gold Medals at National Games

Uttarakhand has set a new record at the National Games, winning five gold medals for the first time in its history. The milestone was achieved after Pooja Yadav secured a gold in Taekwondo on Thursday.

The state now has high hopes for more medals in boxing and athletics. Five Uttarakhand boxers—Nivedita, Kajal, Himanshu Solanki, Kapil Pokhriyal, and Narendra Singh—have advanced to the finals and will compete for gold today.

In Taekwondo, four more medals are confirmed for Uttarakhand. The football team has also created history by reaching the finals and will fight for gold today. Medals are also expected in other sports.
