The Uttarakhand government has issued an order granting an 11% hike in dearness allowance (DA) for employees of municipal corporations, local bodies, and autonomous institutions. The revised rates will take effect from 1 January, with arrears to be paid accordingly.
As per the notification, DA for employees under the 5th Pay Commission has been raised from 455% to 466%, while those under the 6th Pay Commission will see an increase from 246% to 252%.
The State Nigam Employees’ Federation welcomed the decision. Federation president Suryaprakash Ranakoti and general secretary Nandalal Joshi expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and the Industries Secretary for issuing the order.
