Uttarakhand Power Corporation Limited (UPCL) has announced a hike in dearness allowance (DA) for all its officers, employees, and pensioners. The order, issued late Wednesday night by UPCL Managing Director Anil Kumar, increases DA from 53% to 55% of the basic salary, effective from January 1, 2025.
As per the directive, arrears from January 1 to April 30 will be paid to all eligible employees. From May 1 onwards, the increased DA will be included with the regular salary. Pensioners will also receive DA at the revised rate.
UPCL employees have expressed gratitude to the management and the state government for the decision, which is expected to provide financial relief amidst rising living costs.
