With the onset of summer and rising tourist activity, the Food Safety and Drug Administration (FDA) in Uttarakhand has issued strict guidelines to monitor the quality and storage of packed beverages. The FDA has warned that any compromise in quality will invite stringent action.
Secretary Health and FDA Commissioner Dr. R. Rajesh Kumar stated that the state government is fully committed to safeguarding public health and will not tolerate any lapse in food and beverage quality during the summer season. All district officers have been instructed to conduct regular inspections to ensure that packed cold beverages sold in the market meet safety standards.
Vendors or suppliers found violating norms will face strict penalties. Citizens have been urged to consume only certified and licensed products and to report any irregularities to the department.
