Dehradun: The Uttarakhand Film Development Council (UFDC) is creating a Film Resource Directory to empower the state’s film culture. This initiative aims to bring together information about the state’s film-related talents and institutions on a single platform, making it easier for people involved in the film industry to connect with each other and take advantage of employment opportunities.
The Council’s Chief Executive Officer and Information Director, Shri Banshidhar Tiwari, informed that this initiative is being undertaken under the Uttarakhand Film Policy 2024. The Film Resource Directory will include information about filmmakers, directors, actors, musicians, technicians, production houses, and many other talents. A Google form has also been released, where people associated with the film industry can register their information by October 31, 2024.
Shri Tiwari also said that this directory will provide new opportunities to local talents and filmmakers-directors will easily get information about all the necessary resources while making films in Uttarakhand. So far, 118 people have registered their information under this initiative.
All individuals and institutions associated with the film industry have been appealed to participate in this initiative and contribute to enriching Uttarakhand’s film culture. For more information and registration, one can contact the Council through its website or email ([email protected]).
