Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has approved a budget of ₹23.667 crore to expand and modernize the fire services in Uttarakhand. The allocated funds will be used to strengthen the state’s firefighting fleet and purchase modern fire control equipment, enhancing disaster response capabilities.
In addition to firefighting services, the CM sanctioned several infrastructure and development projects across the state:
- The annual budget for the Sainik School in Ghorakhal, Nainital, has been increased from ₹5 crore to ₹8 crore to ensure its smooth operation and financial stability.
- ₹344.98 lakh has been approved for strengthening and blacktopping the Tugdunda-Bhaiswara motor road in Pabo Block, Pauri Garhwal.
- ₹512.46 lakh has been sanctioned for the construction of a 48-meter span steel girder bridge over the Ragganga River on the Malkot-Kalimati Sera-Tivakhark motor road in Karnprayag, Chamoli.
- In Kaladhungi constituency, Nainital, ₹183.47 lakh has been approved for the reconstruction of Nigam Nala road and the construction of a new road from Soban Ram’s house to Suresh Bhatt’s house.
- ₹528.91 lakh has been allocated for the construction of the new Chodmanya-Kamtoli motor road in Gangolihat constituency.
These approvals reflect the state government’s focus on improving disaster management infrastructure, education, and rural connectivity.
