In a significant administrative development, the Uttarakhand Forest Department has promoted 76 Forest Inspectors (वन दरोगा) to the post of Deputy Forest Officers (उप वन क्षेत्राधिकारी). The promotion orders were issued by Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, Meenakshi Joshi.
As per the official order, these promotions have been made based on the recommendations of the Departmental Promotion Committee. The promoted personnel will initially take charge at their current postings. Transfer and posting orders for their new assignments will be issued separately.
The order also states that if any officer declines the promotion, action will be taken under the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Promotion Relinquishment Rules 2024. Additionally, the promotion will be duly recorded in each officer’s service record.
Prominent names among the 76 promoted officers include Praveen Singh, Shiv Prasad Bhatt, Bhajan Singh Rawat, Dayalal, Jagat Singh, Deep Chandra Pandey, Radhika Joshi, Kishan Chandra Bhagat, Chandan Ram, Chandrashekhar Upreti, Bhagwati Upadhyay, Leela Mathpal, Tara Dutt Semwal, Ganesh Datt Sati, Sobhan Ram, Kamal Kishore, Manju Bahuguna, Hori Lal, and Devki Nandan.
This round of promotions follows the departmental relaxation granted earlier, enabling deserving personnel to advance in their careers. The move is expected to improve administrative efficiency and strengthen field operations across the state’s forest divisions.
