Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami participated in a GST awareness program organized in Patel Nagar under the ‘GST Savings Celebration’. During the event, the CM met with traders and citizens, seeking their feedback on the reduced GST rates. He stated that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, economic reforms have entered a new era, and the reduction in GST rates marks a historic step toward improving the livelihood of all sections of society.
The Chief Minister highlighted that the lower GST rates will make consumer goods more affordable, benefiting the general public. He urged traders to educate customers about the reduced rates and encouraged prioritizing indigenous and local products to strengthen both the state and national economy.
Traders and citizens welcomed the reduction in GST rates, noting that the initiative ahead of Navratri has boosted market enthusiasm and buyer interest. The celebration is expected to bring joy to both consumers and businesses during the upcoming Diwali festival.
The event was attended by MLA Vinod Chamoli, Vice-Chairperson of the State Disaster Management Advisory Committee Vinay Rohila, and BJP Dehradun City President Siddharth Agarwal.
