CM Dhami urges public to stay alert amid heavy rain warning

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted extremely heavy rainfall in the next 24 hours across Uttarakhand’s hilly and select plain areas. In light of the forecast, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has appealed to residents to remain vigilant and avoid unnecessary travel.

He specifically advised candidates appearing for the PCS examination to leave early for their exam centres, emphasizing that both their safety and the examination are important to the government.

CM Dhami assured that the state government is closely monitoring the weather situation and providing all necessary support to local administrations. He urged the public to act responsibly and remain cautious, adding that the administration is fully prepared to handle any emergency.

Several areas in the state have already reported landslides and traffic disruptions due to continuous rainfall. People have been requested to contact authorities in case of any emergency.
