Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has taken a firm stance on violations of Uttarakhand’s land laws, stating that strict action will be taken against those who break the rules. Addressing recent concerns, the CM highlighted that some individuals were purchasing land in large quantities and misusing it, prompting the need for enforcement.
CM Dhami emphasized that the people of Uttarakhand had long expected a stricter land law to prevent exploitation and ensure land remains available for genuine use within the state. “We have implemented a land law, and those found violating it or misusing land will face strict legal action,” he said.
This move aligns with the government’s broader effort to protect Uttarakhand’s geographical and ecological integrity while curbing land speculation and misuse.
