Uttarakhand Monsoon Preparedness: CM Dhami Attends Workshop

A state-level workshop was held in Dehradun today by the Uttarakhand State Disaster Management Authority to review monsoon preparedness across the state. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami attended the event and emphasized the importance of timely and effective planning to reduce the impact of natural disasters during the upcoming monsoon season.

Addressing the officials, CM Dhami said that although natural disasters cannot be prevented, their damage can be minimized through proactive planning and coordinated efforts. He stated that administrative teams are in the final stages of their monsoon preparedness and added, “This workshop is aimed at discussing all key aspects of disaster response and mitigation. Actions will be taken based on the conclusions drawn from today’s discussions.”

The day-long workshop will include detailed sessions on early warning systems, emergency response strategies, inter-departmental coordination, and the deployment of relief materials and rescue teams in vulnerable areas. The Chief Minister stressed that the safety of citizens is the top priority and instructed officials to remain alert and prepared for any emergency scenario.

Officials from various departments, disaster response agencies, and district administrations are participating in the workshop to ensure comprehensive planning ahead of the monsoon.
