Ahead of the upcoming three-tier panchayat elections in Uttarakhand, a cabinet sub-committee will review the report on OBC reservation prepared by the dedicated single-member commission. The first meeting of the sub-committee is scheduled for June 7.
The Uttarakhand Cabinet had earlier formed this sub-committee under the chairmanship of Minister Subodh Uniyal to examine the third report submitted by the commission. Cabinet Ministers Rekha Arya and Saurabh Bahuguna are also part of the sub-committee.
The sub-committee will analyze the report and present recommendations and suggestions considering the state’s specific socio-political context. The commission’s third report is expected to be formally presented during the upcoming meeting.
