Uttarakhand announces Shailesh Matiyani State Teacher Awards 2024, 13 teachers to be honoured

The Uttarakhand government has declared the Shailesh Matiyani State Teacher Awards 2024, selecting 13 teachers for their exceptional contribution to education. The award ceremony will take place on September 5. Awardees have been chosen from primary, secondary, training institutions, and Sanskrit education streams.

From primary education, nine teachers have been selected, including Dr. Chandan Prasad God (Champawat), Rashmi Rana (Tehri Garhwal), Ramesh Lal Rana (Uttarkashi), Dr. Virendra Singh (Haridwar), Kalpana Bhandari (Tehri Garhwal), Tili Badola (Champawat), Suman Gusain (Pauri Garhwal), Devdan Singh Khandwal (Rudraprayag), and Dr. Nisar Khan (Almora).

From secondary education, five teachers will be honoured: Pushkar Singh Maneri (Chamoli Garhwal), Geeta Bisht Joshi (Uttarkashi), Dr. Nutan Bhatt (Dehradun), Prakash Chandra Upadhyay (Champawat), and Deepak Chandra Mint (Almora).

In addition, Rajesh Kumar Pandey from District Institute of Education and Training, Tehri Garhwal, has been selected from training institutions. From Sanskrit education, Dr. Balvindra Prasad Chamoli (Haridwar) has been chosen for the award.
