Education Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat announced that 2,364 vacant Class IV posts in schools and education department offices across Uttarakhand will soon be filled through outsourcing, with priority given to local youth. He said the government is committed to strengthening educational infrastructure and ensuring adequate manpower in schools.

The state has approved outsourcing for 334 posts in offices including the Directorate of Secondary Education, Directorate of Primary Education, SCERT, Board Office Ramnagar, DIETs, and district-level education offices. Additionally, posts in inter colleges and high schools have been restructured for outsourcing. Inter colleges with more than 1,000 students will have two attendants, one cleaner, and one watchman, while colleges with 500–1,000 students will have one attendant and one watchman. Schools with fewer than 500 students will be assigned one watchman, and newly upgraded schools will get one watchman post.

A total of 2,023 Class IV posts in government schools have been converted for outsourcing, making the overall number 2,364. Each outsourced employee will receive a monthly honorarium of ₹15,000, and recruitment will follow the state’s reservation rules.
