CM Dhami to Meet Yogi Adityanath Over Pending Asset Issues

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami will soon hold a high-level meeting with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to resolve the long-pending matters related to residual assets and liabilities between the two states.

On Wednesday, CM Dhami reviewed the status of inter-state matters at the Secretariat and instructed officials to expedite action on issues where consensus was reached in the previous meetings. He directed that in-progress matters be addressed in coordination with officials from Uttar Pradesh to ensure early resolution.

Significant progress has been made in several departments:

  • The Uttar Pradesh Fisheries Corporation has transferred ₹3.98 crore to the Uttarakhand Fisheries Development Agency.
  • Partial payments have been made by the Uttar Pradesh Forest Development Corporation towards dues owed to Uttarakhand.
  • Outstanding payments related to the Transport Corporation have also been settled.
  • A resolution has been reached regarding housing assets under the Housing Development Council.

Additionally, the government has identified new water sports zones in select districts of the state. These initiatives are expected to boost tourism and local employment.
