Uttarakhand – The Election Department in Uttarakhand has appealed to citizens to immediately fill the required forms to add, remove, or correct their names in the voter list. The department is currently accepting applications for new voter registrations, deletions, and address changes before the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process begins.

Officials said that once SIR is announced, the ongoing process will temporarily stop. During that period, only applications will be accepted, but they will be processed after SIR is completed.

The department has also advised voters whose names appear at two different places in the electoral roll to remove one entry without delay. Having duplicate entries may result in action or notice from the Election Commission. People who do not yet have a voter ID are encouraged to apply immediately to be included during SIR.

For new voter registration, citizens can fill Form-6 online through the Election Commission website. Those who need to delete duplicate entries can submit Form-7 on the same portal. To correct name, address or other details, Form-8 is available online, along with guidelines for assistance. Applicants may require their mobile number and Aadhaar card for verification.
