The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rainfall across Uttarakhand’s hilly regions today. A yellow alert has been issued for parts of Dehradun, Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Bageshwar, Nainital, and Pithoragarh districts.
While the plains are likely to witness light showers with thunderstorms, mountain districts may see intense spells of rain. The forecast indicates that heavy rainfall activity will continue across the state until August 23, with the hilly regions expected to be more severely affected.
