Heavy Rain Brings Relief in Dehradun-Haridwar, Yellow Alert in Hills

Weather patterns shifted across Uttarakhand on Tuesday, offering relief from the rising heat. Dehradun and Haridwar witnessed heavy showers in the afternoon, cooling temperatures and easing humidity levels. Earlier in the day, clear skies and intense sunshine led to high discomfort due to humidity, even though maximum temperatures remained around normal levels.

According to the Meteorological Department, most parts of the state will continue to see partly cloudy skies with chances of light rainfall. Hill districts like Nainital, Champawat, Pithoragarh, and Bageshwar are under a yellow alert for thunderstorms, intense showers, and strong winds over the next few days.

In Dehradun and surrounding areas, occasional drizzles are expected along with partly cloudy weather. Despite the changing conditions, temperatures are predicted to stay close to seasonal averages across the state.
