Several districts of Uttarakhand, including Dehradun, are likely to experience heavy rainfall and strong winds today, as per the latest forecast by the Meteorological Department. A yellow alert has been issued for Dehradun, Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Bageshwar, Pithoragarh, and Nainital, warning of thunderstorms accompanied by wind speeds of 40–50 km/h.
Parts of other districts may also witness light rainfall. The weather is expected to remain unstable in most districts of the state until May 11, particularly in hilly regions where light showers and gusty winds are likely. However, conditions are forecasted to improve across the state from May 12 onwards.
