Prabhat Kumar of Uttarakhand clinched the gold medal in the 1000m Kayaking Heat event at the 38th National Games, held at the Tehri Dam Reservoir. Meanwhile, the Indian Army also secured a gold medal in the 1000m Canoeing Heat event.
Uttarakhand athletes continue their impressive performance at the National Games. On Monday, the state added 10 medals, including two golds, taking its total tally to 77 medals—17 gold, 27 silver, and 33 bronze.
In the 3000m race, Ankita Dhyani bagged a gold medal, while Siddharth Rawat secured gold in judo. The 4x400m relay team of Prakhar, Sahil Malik, Anu Kumar, and Praveen won a silver medal. In modern pentathlon team event, Bhagirathi Rawat, Arna Chauhan, and Shraddha Joshi also claimed silver. Meanwhile, in the 73kg judo category, Pradeep Rawat earned a silver medal.
