Uttarkashi Cloudburst: CM Dhami Visits Ground Zero, Assures All Possible Help to Victims

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami visited the disaster-hit Dharali area in Uttarkashi, where a recent cloudburst has caused severe destruction. Braving tough weather conditions, the CM reached ground zero, interacted with the affected families, and assured them of every possible support from the state government.

Visibly moved by the plight of the victims, CM Dhami reviewed ongoing relief operations and emphasized the importance of timely delivery of aid. He also met the rescue personnel deployed on-site and directed officials to ensure swift distribution of essential supplies and relief materials to all affected households.

To expedite relief efforts, two helicopters have been deployed to airlift food and aid to the Dharali region. Additionally, the Indian Air Force has sent Chinook helicopters loaded with heavy machinery to help repair roads, clear debris, and restore normalcy.

The CM instructed the administration to prioritize assistance to every affected family, ensuring that no one is left out. Earlier, he had conducted an aerial survey of the region and met with families to offer comfort and reassurance.

CM Dhami stated that Indian Army, ITBP, SDRF, NDRF, and local volunteers are collectively working on rescue efforts. “Yesterday alone, 130 people were rescued,” he added.
