Acting on the instructions of Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, financial assistance has been provided to families affected by the recent disaster in Dharali village. On Monday, District Magistrate Prashant Arya, along with local MLA Suresh Chauhan, visited the village to personally hand over ₹5 lakh cheques to each of the affected households. In total, 98 cheques were issued and distributed on-site.
The administrative team, including DM Arya, Gangotri MLA Suresh Chauhan, and Garhwal Coordinator Kishore Bhatt, joined the victims for a meal at government relief camps. They assured residents that the state administration is fully committed to standing by them during this challenging period.
Authorities have implemented arrangements for shelter, meals, and healthcare at the camps while working to restore normalcy in the disaster-hit region. Officials stressed that all necessary measures are being taken to aid recovery and support those impacted.
