Dehradun Police have arrested six individuals involved in illegal cattle slaughter near the Barrage Jhula Bridge in Vikasnagar. The accused were caught with two choppers, two sharp-edged khukris, slaughtering tools, and wooden blocks used for butchering. During interrogation, they admitted to luring stray cattle from riverbanks into the jungle for slaughter. All six accused have a history of criminal activities, including previous cases under the NDPS Act and other offenses.

- Abdul Rahman (30), son of Irfan
- Shahban (20), son of Irfan
- Rashid alias Neelu (40), son of Akhtar
- Shaukeen alias Lutiya, son of Late Latif
- Ashiq (28), son of Salim
- Suleman (55), son of Wahid

All the accused are residents of Kunj Grant, Kotwali Vikasnagar. The police have intensified their crackdown on illegal activities in the region and are investigating further links related to cattle smuggling and slaughter.
