After several days of rainfall and snowfall that brought relief from the heat, temperatures are once again on the rise across Uttarakhand. The state, which had been witnessing cool weather due to rain in both hilly and plain regions, is now experiencing sunny skies and increasing heat, especially in lower altitudes.
According to Dr. Bikram Singh, Director of the Meteorological Centre in Dehradun, the recent spell of rain had brought down temperatures significantly. However, as rainfall has subsided, the sun has reappeared, pushing daytime temperatures above 35°C in the plains, leading to humid and uncomfortable conditions. Hill areas are seeing some cloud cover, offering limited relief.
The weather department has predicted that the coming days may bring even higher temperatures. For Saturday, dry weather is expected across all districts. In Dehradun, the sky will remain mostly clear to partly cloudy, with a maximum temperature of around 36°C and a minimum of about 21°C.
