Rishikesh, December 11, 2024: To support patients with mobility challenges, Haridwar-based social worker Satish Tyagi donated 25 wheelchairs to AIIMS Rishikesh on Wednesday. This generous contribution will help differently-abled and critically ill patients move more easily within the hospital premises. Satish Tyagi, manager of Tyagi Associates, expressed his desire to donate wheelchairs to aid the needy. After AIIMS management approved the initiative, a brief ceremony was held, where Tyagi officially handed over 25 wheelchairs to the hospital.
AIIMS Executive Director Professor (Dr.) Meenu Singh expressed gratitude for the donation, emphasizing its importance in assisting patients with limited mobility due to accidents or serious health conditions. She noted that while AIIMS already has a significant number of wheelchairs, this addition will ensure smoother patient care without facing any shortages. During the event, Satish Tyagi reiterated his commitment to providing necessary support to the hospital whenever needed.
