In a heartwarming incident, a pregnant woman delivered a healthy baby aboard a moving train near Haridwar. The prompt response of GRP and RPF teams ensured the safety of both mother and newborn. They were safely deboarded at Haridwar station and rushed to the district women’s hospital. The family hails from Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh, and both mother and baby are reported to be in good health.

A Barabanki resident was traveling with his pregnant wife and two children on the Dehradun-Saharanpur train to Haridwar for treatment. As the train neared Haridwar, the woman went into labor. Upon being alerted by the station master, GRP and RPF teams, including women constables, swiftly reached platform number 5.
The woman delivered her baby in a general coach, after which the railway staff and district hospital team provided immediate medical care. Both were transported to the hospital via a 108 ambulance for further treatment.
