The Uttarakhand government will conduct an audit of all women empowerment schemes to evaluate their effectiveness. Chief Secretary Radha Raturi has directed all concerned departments to submit detailed reports, including the exact number of beneficiaries. The goal is to assess the performance and reach of each scheme to ensure better outcomes for women across the state.
In a meeting of the Uttarakhand Women and Child Development Committee held on Friday, Raturi emphasized that evaluating scheme performance is crucial to understanding how many women have benefited so far. She instructed officials to work on improving the quality and impact of the schemes.
Focus on Livelihood and Education
The Chief Secretary also called for the integration of all women livelihood schemes, including the Mukhyamantri Mahila Satat Aajeevika Yojana, to create a unified support system. Additionally, she proposed a plan to organize national educational tours for meritorious girl students to boost their exposure and confidence.
