Dehradun: A case has been registered against a teacher in Doiwala for allegedly securing a government job using a fake caste certificate. The Education Department had earlier terminated the services of the assistant teacher after a departmental inquiry confirmed that the Scheduled Caste certificate submitted by her was forged. The case is related to Government Primary School Jollygrant First, where the accused teacher Seema Devi was posted. It was alleged that she obtained the job under the reserved category by submitting a fake caste certificate.
After receiving the complaint, the department conducted an investigation and verified the documents through official records, where the certificate was found to be invalid. Following the findings, the District Education Officer ordered her immediate removal from service.
Sub-Education Officer Shivani Kaushal said that the teacher was appointed on August 8, 2013, under the Scheduled Caste category through an order issued by the Sub-Education Officer of Pratapnagar block in Tehri Garhwal.

After the investigation, the appointment was cancelled due to the fake certificate. On the instructions of senior officials, a complaint was filed and a case has now been registered. Station House Officer Kamal Kumar Lunthi confirmed that a case has been registered and further legal action is underway.
