Dehradun – The central government has approved the operation of a new rail service between Ramnagar and Dehradun. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw informed Garhwal MP and BJP National Media Head Anil Baluni about the approval through an official communication.
MP Anil Baluni had earlier met the Railway Minister in January and requested the introduction of a direct rail service between Ramnagar and Dehradun.
Reacting to the approval, Baluni expressed gratitude and said that the central government has consistently taken a positive and responsive approach towards improving railway facilities in Uttarakhand.
He stated that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the expansion of the rail network in the state is continuing, with new services improving connectivity.
Baluni also mentioned that services like the Naini Doon Express between Kathgodam and Dehradun, rail connectivity from Kotdwar to New Delhi, and the Vande Bharat Express between Dehradun and Lucknow have already been introduced.
