Bomb Threat Triggers Alert Across Dehradun, Police Launch Probe Into Viral Instagram Post

Dehradun: Panic spread across Dehradun after bomb threats targeting multiple police stations surfaced through a social media post allegedly shared from an Instagram account. Following the viral post, police and security agencies have been placed on alert, and investigations have been initiated in several police jurisdictions, including Mussoorie and Kotwali Dehradun.

According to officials, the threat was circulated through an Instagram post claiming that several police establishments would be targeted. Cyber experts and the police cyber cell have begun tracing the account and identifying the person responsible for the post. Security surveillance has also been intensified at sensitive locations across the district.

Bomb Threat Email Sent to Mussoorie Municipal Office

In a related development, Mussoorie Municipal Council and local administrative authorities received a threatening email warning of bomb blasts at multiple locations. The email reportedly mentioned an explosion at the office of Municipal Chairperson Meera Saklani at a specified time.

The message also referred to potential attacks on senior public figures, including Amit Shah and Pushkar Singh Dhami, along with government establishments in Dehradun and Delhi. Religious sites, railway stations, and other public places were also reportedly mentioned in the threat.

Police and Administration on High Alert

The email was reportedly received on the official email accounts of the municipal council and the Mussoorie SDM office. Following the threat, police and administrative officials increased security arrangements and launched an investigation.
