A bridge connecting the routes to Kedarnath and Badrinath Dham is nearly complete, with its load test successfully completed. The bridge is expected to open for movement soon. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said in a post on X that only some final work remains on the bridge due to rainfall. He said the remaining work will be completed once weather conditions improve.
The successful load test marks an important step before the bridge is opened for regular movement. Once the pending work is completed, authorities are expected to allow traffic and other movement across the bridge. The new bridge is intended to provide a direct connection between the routes leading towards the two major Himalayan pilgrimage destinations. Its opening is expected to improve connectivity for people travelling in the region.
