Rudraprayag: A 55-year-old motorcycle rider died after a car and motorcycle collided head-on near Mykoti Dat Pul on the Rudraprayag-Pokhari Motor Road on Wednesday morning. The accident took place around four kilometres before Satterakhal.
The deceased has been identified as Shiv Lal, a resident of Bora village in Rudraprayag. According to the information available, he was working as a driver at the Vikas Bhawan in Rudraprayag and was travelling towards Rudraprayag for duty when the accident occurred.
The car involved in the accident was reportedly travelling towards Nagnath Pokhari. The two vehicles collided near Mykoti Dat Pul, resulting in severe injuries to the motorcycle rider. He died at the spot following the collision. After receiving information about the accident, police reached the site and began gathering details about the incident. The circumstances that led to the collision are being ascertained.

District Disaster Management Officer Nandan Singh Rajwar said that the deceased was being brought to the district hospital. Further details regarding the incident are awaited.
