Farmers’ Mahapanchayat at Khanauri Border: Dallewal to Address Amid Growing Crowd

Khanauri Border: The farmers’ Mahapanchayat at the Khanauri border witnessed a growing turnout despite dense fog causing delays in arrival. Farmers have gathered in large numbers to discuss key issues, including the legal guarantee for MSP, farmers’ rights, and the future course of the movement.

Farmer groups from Punjab, Haryana, and Jind have joined the event. The highlight of the Mahapanchayat is scheduled for 2 PM when prominent farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal will address the crowd. Dallewal, currently on a hunger strike, has generated significant anticipation with his message.

During the event, farmer leaders called for unity and outlined strategies to pressure the government into action. Meanwhile, Punjab’s Agriculture Minister Gurmeet Singh has urged the central government to facilitate discussions with farmers. On Saturday, the Union Agriculture Minister held a meeting with state agriculture ministers regarding the new market policy.
