The Prime Minister also emphasized India’s achievement in satellite docking, making it the fourth country globally to attain this milestone. This breakthrough technology will support supply and crew missions to space stations. Additionally, he mentioned ISRO’s experiment in growing cowpea seeds in space, an inspiring step towards cultivating vegetables in extraterrestrial environments.
PM Modi applauded IIT Madras’s ‘eXtem’ center for its innovative work on space manufacturing technologies, such as 3D-printed structures and waterless concrete construction. These advancements are poised to strengthen India’s Gaganyaan mission and space station projects.
