The Uttar Pradesh government has decided to end VIP protocols during Amrit Snan and major bathing festivals at Mahakumbh 2025, ensuring unrestricted access for all devotees.

According to the government, VIP and VVIP privileges will not be granted on Basant Panchami, Magh Purnima, and Mahashivratri, including the day before and after these festivals. An official statement released on Thursday confirmed that this decision had already been made and will now be strictly enforced.
No Traffic Disruptions Due to VIP Movement
With VIP movements often causing traffic diversions and disruptions, authorities have clarified that any VIP visiting Mahakumbh must provide prior notice at least a week in advance to ensure that general arrangements remain unaffected. Given the anticipated large crowds, the administration has urged devotees to remain patient and vigilant.
