A Karnataka hockey player suffered a serious facial injury during a National Games match at Vandana Katariya Hockey Stadium, Roshnabad. A high-speed ball struck her face, requiring immediate medical attention at AIIMS Rishikesh. After treatment, she was discharged and is set to return to the field on Wednesday.
The incident occurred during a match between Madhya Pradesh and Karnataka on Tuesday morning, when player Yamuna was injured by the ball. The match was temporarily halted but resumed after her evacuation. District Sports Officer Shabali Gurung confirmed that the player has recovered and will participate in the next match.
